Bruce Gilbert & Cyndi Craven

Bruce Gilbert: I’M A SONGWRITER.. sort of a musical mad scientist. I mix ingredients and hope that magic will happen…

And we songwriters know what magic is because we carry our heros and their songs with us everywhere we go.

Gershwin, Mozart, The Beatles, Curtis Mayfield, Joni Mitchell, Otis Redding, Leadbelly, Cole Porter, James Taylor, Fredric Chopin, Merle Haggard, Billy Strayhorn, Lowell George, Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer, Laura Nyro, Leon Russell, Carol King, John Prine, Antonio Carlos Jobim

Every time we pull out a guitar or sit down at the piano, our heros are sitting on our shoulders, not butting in, but hopefully reminding us to write with passion and to listen to our hearts as we write.

So, we sit…..and we play…. and listen to our hearts…and we compose. I’m very grateful for the chance to share with you, songs that came from MY heart. I hope you enjoy them.

Cyndi Craven: singer, songwriter, ukulele emissary – is a longtime member of Atlanta’s music community. She can be heard around town, usually with other songwriters and performers including Bruce Gilbert and Jerry Brunner in their trio, Just Be’Cause.

Cyndi is writing and recording some new material … the new Love’s Shining Peace is the first to be released. More to come, so stay tuned.

See more online at Cyndi Craven‘s and Bruce Gilbert‘s websites.

The Pussywillows

Carly Gibson and Hannah Zale have joined forces and they are already leaving their mark on the Georgia music scene as Indie/Alternative Rock supergroup, THE PUSSYWILLOWS (TPW) exploring their self-proclaimed “Tarantino feminism” sound. Individually, these women are exceptionally strong performers and songwriters; together, they are positively formidable. The Pussywillows, in short, are: sweet and savory; sultry and fresh; pure.
