Kate Coleman

Kate Coleman has been a full-time musician since 2011. She started out singing in a Classic Rock cover band in Buffalo, NY, despite her affinity for country music. A year later her and her husband, Corey Coleman, started their Bluesy-Americana duo Kate and Corey. They spent the next 5 years releasing 2 albums, several singles, and playing all over the southeast. The duo even got to play at the notorious Ryman Auditorium as finalists in the 2012 Country Showdown with Jewel as the host.

Kate Coleman released her first solo album, “PAST”, on April 28th with a production entitled “Tremors of my PAST” which involved modern dance, videos, and live music to bring the story of her 10 song album to life. She has since had the privilege of opening for Chuck Cannon and Samantha Fish and also participated in the prestigious Wire & Wood Songwriter’s Festival. Kate’s songwriting is inspired by a wide range of genres/artists: Patty Griffin, Darrell Scott, Jack White, The Dixie Chicks, and The Grateful Dead to name a few.

About Kevin Walsh: Bassist and vocalist, Kevin Walsh performs in a wide variety of styles … R&B, Rock and Roll, Folk & Americana. Kevin has recorded and toured in the US and Canada with the Acoustic group Windfall, and has done 2 tours of Ireland with the Americana group, Rhythm Road. He is has lived and performed as
a singer, guitarist and bassist in the Atlanta area for the last 4 years.

About Mike Cerra: Mike has been playing and writing longer than he should probably admit in mixed company. A very talented multi-instrumentalist and singer, he has performed with multiple electric bands as well as acoustically for both vocal and solo instrumental music.

About Celia McDermott: An early love of singing brought her to study arranging and vocals at Berklee College of Music. She performed locally with and without her guitar in the Boston, New York, and Atlanta areas for years in many various groups, featuring many varied styles of music.

She served many years as an assistant choir director for a vibrant music ministry, spent ten years directing and singing in “Cheaper Than Therapy”, an a cappella group, has been a featured singer on many recordings, and has performed with many different musicians in the Atlanta area, crossing genres spanning from jazz to rock to Americana to gospel, including several years of being a featured soloist for the ASO Gospel Choir.

Together, Kevin, Mike, and Celia bring an eclectic set of interesting arrangements of songs ranging from Americana to folk to popular, as well as beautiful originals, to Common Grounds.
