Our performers this month will be Matt Griswold & Fisheye! See below for more info.
The North Fulton Community Charities food pantry, located at 11270 Elkins Road, Roswell, has a continual need for food and staple products. Here is the list from their website as of September 10th:
|HIGH NEED||NEEDED||NOT NEEDED|
Jason Roberts – mandolin, guitar and backing vocals
Brian Mobley – vocals, bass and guitar
Andy Robinson – guitar, bass and backing vocals
Stanley Parker – drums and percussion
Fisheye is greater than the sum of its parts. Brian has a good voice. Jason is talented on both guitar and mandolin. Andy has an ear for harmony. And Stanley keeps a good beat. Stir in the work of three prolific songwriters in Brian, Andy and Jason. Add some practice, luck, and special sauce and there you have the basis of Fisheye.
Jason hails from Nottingham, UK where he was part of a pop-rock band called The Essentials. After moving to Atlanta, GA he hooked up with Brian to form a folk-rock group called The Diamond Geezers. Following several dormant years, Jason and Brian hooked up with Andy and Fisheye was born. Shortly before the band’s first birthday, Doug Ward completed the four-piece on drums, then four years and three CD’s later the drum sticks were handed over to Stanley.
Matt Griswold is an American Soul and Blues Singer Songwriter and Self Taught Guitar player from the suburbs of Atlanta Georgia. He started writing songs and performing at the age of 14 years old and fell in love with it immediately. Matt’s career has taken him from small town coffee house open mic nights to big city venues such as; Smith’s Olde Bar, where he was a top 3 finalist for Reel Record’s songwriting competition, in which they received over 1200 song submissions. Tin Roof Cantina, where he has placed several times as a finalist in the regionally famous Ian Schumacher’s Acoustic Showdown. Eddie’s Attic, the famous Georgia listening room that takes credit for launching John Mayer’s early career, Sugarland’s career, and is known through out the South East as the PREMIERE singer songwriter listening room and songwriting competition.
Matt is currently working towards recording his first full length album along side Producer Kenny Wong and Educator Marc Baldwin bouncing his natural acoustic style back and forth with the modernization of the Indie Pop sound that only a producer can bring out.
